Call and Fall Scam Alert

Scammers always try to devise new ways to scam, spam and snatch the hard earned money from others. It is not all scammers are like that. Some do in need, Some by deed. Anyways a wrong path would always be called a wrong path, whatever be the reason be. Calling has been a very old technique from the days of Kevin Mitnick. After being in dark for quite a some time scammers have now once again re-inventing the merry-go-round wheel.

In the latest cases residents of Sioux Falls, SD are getting calls from an unknown person asking them to call another number (It is scammer’s ) starting with *72 or *73. This technique forwards all your calls to that number. Then the scammer gives your number to his friends all over the globe who make calls while you pay the Bill. So beware next time an unknown person tasks you to dial a number or uses your phone for a while.

Another type of scam going on is “Small Call – Large Pay“, in which you may encounter a short call from unknown number. The calling number may be from any country but the most used codes start with 473, 809, 284, 649 and 876. And your eagerness to know the unknown caller costs you up-to $20.

Sometimes these scammers use the names of emerging and big brands for their ill use. Along with spammers, scammers deteriorate the reputation of emerging brands as it has been done with Sunrise PC Support to suppress the business competition with fake calls and fake reviews.

So the best way to stay out of these scams and spams are not to get in touch with unknown people in any form. Whether it be Call, Text, E-mail, Chat or anything else. And know which number is local and which is international. While i know you cannot remember all the ISD codes at any time like, I have two list of ISD codes by Geographical Area and Alphabetical OrderAlso there are some Locations with no country code.
